Our attempt at carving the iconic Chanel C's freehand! We aren't professionals but we had fun doing it. :)

Art is Life.

Golden Guns Artist Spotlight: Camomile Hixon
As kids, we loved arts and crafts. We used to decorate our lunch pales with glitter and bubble paint to make them distinctly ours. So, when we discovered Camomile Hixon's pop art using glitter and paint on a canvas, we instantly felt nostalgia. Hixon's stand out pieces include the use of super-sized words, symbols, and images. She describes her works as "poetry fragments without the movement of melody". The Los Angeles Times and New York Magazine have both covered her works. She has been spotlighted on Home by Novogratz as well as the Wendy Williams Show. You can check out her paintings at the American History Textile Museum in Lowell MA, The Diane Birdsall Gallery in Old Lyme, CT and in The Hamptons at Maison 24.

The Girl Who Wants It All

B Brian Atwood:
New Shoe Collection

Oh, Brian! How do I Love Thee!
To say we are fans of Brian Atwood is an understatement. Not only are his collections phenomenally sexy, so is he! Usually, we have to wait for the Saks After-Christmas Sale to take the mighty Atwoods home with us but now he has unveiled a new collection, B Brian Atwood, that is slightly less expensive than his signature line. According to Saks.com, the collection is for "the girl who wants it all". In other words, the girls who want it all but most certainly can't afford it all. Clearly, all signs point here!

These boots from the collection were love at first sight. (A pic is posted on the frig at home!) MUST HAVE ASAP! Grab a pair and be love lorn, too.

Pow! Who Shot Ya?!

Versace for H&M Sneak Peek
In Stores November 19

It looks like we'll be up at the crack of dawn for the debut of the Versace for H&M Collection when it hits stores November 19th. Good thing it falls on a Saturday because a sick day would be looming in the future! Whenever a high end designer creates a collection for a more affordable outlet, we are on it like bees to honey. We didnt have much luck when Lanvin took over H&M but scored pretty big when Missoni hit Target. The collaboration boasts 172 pieces including menswear and home decor. We have a plan of action for this highly anticipated day and maybe you can too. Take a look at our favorite pieces from the collection and start brainstorming your strategies for success. Happy Shopping!

Clutch Crazed!
Our Alexander McQueen Obsession

More often than not, we find the most fantastic clutches at the flea market spending no more than $20 for a one of a kind, vintage, piece of herstory. Yet, if we had the money to indulge in these beauts, our closets would yield more of the genius of Alexander McQueen than our ten dollar Sunday morning discoveries. Actually, it's not just the clutches. It's everything stamped with the iconic skull, visible or not. McQueen, we do marvel.
