SPRING is in the Air...well in the next month
By: The GUN

Colors and more colors. This spring and summer I plan to be out of control with mine. But in a good way.  The editorial below has definitely inspired me and hopefully it will inspire you! I love the way she color blocks pastels with bold primary colors with a 60s mod edge.

M.I.A. + Bad Girls

Dopeness Runs Through Her Veins:
M.I.A. "Bad Girls" Video
By: The Gun

M.I.A sure has perfect timing. After her "middle finger" stunt to over 50 million viewers on last night's Super Bowl halftime show, she continues her "fuck what you think" theme in her new music video. Three words. I. Love. It. Many critics may have disapproved of her Super Bowl hoopla, but her talent surpasses any controversy for me. What about for you? Check out her new video directed by Romain Gavras below and be the judge.

P.S. She is a pro at mixing colors and textures right!

Christian Louboutin + Women = Everlasting Love

Fashion Takeover!
Christian Louboutin Signing at Neiman's in BH
By: the GOLDEN

There are two truths about being a fashionably fabulous high school teacher. First, I am educating the youth of our world while giving them style lessons at the very same time just by standing in front of them. Second, I am almost usually, more than I like to admit, broke. It's no secret that teachers aren't the most generously paid so I am not revealing breaking news with the type of each letter. But, it becomes quite arduous trying to satiate my inner fiery, chic way of living with the way I'm living. What's a girl to do?

So I won't lose you in my thoughts, the whole point of this post is to justify an event of fashion takeover that I CANNOT tout about because I was TOTALLY unaware of its happening only five minutes away from my apartment...without traffic. While I was grading final exams on a day I had off because of budget cuts (side eye), I missed Christian Louboutin HIMSELF at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills on Friday signing his infamous red bottoms for Louboutin Lovers across the land.

But, here's the rub. In order to have The Man put his hands to your sole, you had to buy a pair of Louboutins that day. Not ones you already have at home. FRESH. And according to a Neiman Marcus insider, there were a plethora of women who patiently waited in lines to spend BIG money in order to get that official stamp. The line to purchase shoes, (yes, purchase) was scattered from the shoe department all the way to the back of the store in the Fragrance department. Word on the street is that Monsieur Louboutin didn't finish signing until early the next morning. The event, which was only for two hours, was to celebrate the legend of Christian Louboutin's 20th Anniversary of footwear fame.

Needless to say, my wallet couldn't expand that day to get a new pair of Loubou's. So, the only spots of red I saw were the illustrious markings of a red pen scribed by a fashionably fabulous teacher who missed the boat. DAMN, DAMN, DAMN!
The line. Yikes!

JEFFREY CAMPBELL Patent Wedges

Even though I didn't make it to Neiman's, I was in Nordstrom over the weekend and this is what I got! I went to The Grove with the intention of getting a pair of casual, chunky wedges but this is what I walked out with instead and I love, love, love them!

My shoes match my flowers...
