Golden Gun Style Icon

You captivate eyes and ears with the hypnotic fluidity of your walk, the pugnacious and playful power of your words and the seemingly effortless wearing of a wanted wardrobe. Most importantly, you possess the most coveted accessory of all: character. Keep killing em'! Bang Bang!

This Week's Style Icon: Katharine Hepburn
Born in 1907, this leading lady's career as an actress on film, stage, and television has spanned over 60 years. Katherine Hepburn is best known for her work in the 1930s and 40s and has won four Academy Awards for Best Actress. Her free spirited personality and stubborn stance on not wearing a dress recognized her as an influential figure in changing the cultural perception of women in film. We love Hepburn not only for her acting but for her ahead-of-the-time style. During a time when women and men were a dichotomy, Hepburn helped blur the line of masculine and feminine. She stylishly combined masculine tailoring with ultra-feminine makeup (heavy lashes, deep colored lipstick, rouge cheeks). Hepburn was able to pull off the androgynous look effortlessly and has spawned many women decades later to imitate her swagger and adopt the motto, "Anything a man can do I can do better..." :) Fierce! Pow!

"If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun."
